Operations Manager – Workforce Accommodation

Own end-to-end management of Tikaana accommodation facilities — operations, residents, housekeeping, food, safety, staff, and vendors — and deliver a high-quality living experience.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Operations
- Oversee daily operations of workforce accommodation facilities
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, maintenance, and operational readiness of all properties
- Monitor occupancy levels, room allocation, and bed utilization
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms, washrooms, kitchens, dining areas, and common spaces
Resident Experience
- Ensure residents have a safe, comfortable, and dignified living experience
- Handle resident grievances and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain discipline and adherence to facility rules
- Build strong relationships with residents and client HR/admin teams
Team Management
- Manage site supervisors, housekeeping staff, wardens, security personnel, and support teams
- Create duty rosters and monitor attendance and productivity
- Train staff on SOPs, hygiene standards, emergency protocols, and resident interaction
Vendor & Service Coordination
- Coordinate with food vendors, housekeeping agencies, maintenance vendors, and transportation providers
- Monitor service quality and vendor performance
- Ensure timely procurement of operational supplies and consumables
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to fire safety, health, hygiene, and statutory compliance standards
- Conduct regular safety drills and inspections
- Maintain records related to occupancy, incidents, visitor logs, and audits
Technology & Reporting
- Use Tikaana operational systems for occupancy tracking, issue management, and reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports
- Track operational KPIs including occupancy, complaints, maintenance turnaround time, and resident satisfaction
Client Coordination
- Act as the primary operational point of contact for client companies
- Support onboarding of new workers and facilities
- Ensure SLA adherence and operational excellence
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations, Hospitality, Facility Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 4–10 years of experience in operations, facility management, hospitality, hostel management, co-living, worker accommodation, or related industries
- Strong people management and vendor coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple sites and teams
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced operational environments
Preferred Experience
- Experience managing hostels, labor camps, staff accommodation, co-living, student housing, hotels, or large residential facilities
- Experience handling blue-collar workforce environments
- Familiarity with compliance, safety, and facility operations
- Experience with ERP/property management systems is an advantage
